Storm Damage Report- October 30 2017
The Megunticook Watershed was hit with heavy winds and rain early Monday morning. There is lots of tree damage around the Watershed. The conditions are still far from good and road are closed or down to one lane. On Rt. 235, 4 or 5 homes have wires hanging after being ripped off the house. Power is out most everywhere outside of downtown Camden. As of 4:00 PM CMP reported that almost all of Lincolnville and Hope was without power and in Camden most roads in the watershed were without power. Statewide, CMP and Emera Maine report about a half a million households without power. Power restoration will be measured in days not hours.
The patrol boat was hauled for the storm but I will launch it tomorrow and tour the lake and pond. I will also drive camp roads and notify owners if there is any damage. So, if you’re here in Maine, stay safe!
