The Annual Meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 11 at 7:00 PM at Bishopswood Camp (off of Rt. 105 Hope/Camden Road).  The featured Speaker will be  Annie Kassler of Maine Bat Education.  The public is invited, not just members.

Bat Exceptionalism: Prepare to Be Awed!
Bats not only make vast ecological contributions to the health of the planet, their remarkable abilities and unique physiology may help unlock an assortment of medical mysteries that might one day benefit humans. From astounding skills to highly evolved systems to superior immunity, bats set the high bar and may hold the key to advancements in the study of cancer, aging and disease.
Annie Kassler of Maine Bat Education will offer a presentation on the surprising world of bats.  Kassler is a speaker with Bat Conservation International, a member of the Northeast Bat Working Group, Maine Bat Working Group, National WNS Communications Group and is the 2017 recipient of the Award of Recognition from the Maine Chapter of the Wildlife Society for her work in bat education.  With over 100 slides, her lively presentations have been popular throughout Maine.
