Environmental Stewardship

From the headwaters in Searsmont to the outfall in Camden Harbor, the Megunticook Watershed provides a unique and spectacular liquid landscape of lakes, ponds, mountains, forests, and communties - it is a watershed worth protecting! MWA staff and volunteers conduct a variety of environmental stewardship activities to protect, conserve, restore, and monitor the natural resources throughout the watershed. Programs include water quality monitoring, invasive species management, and enhancing habitat through LakeSmart and Better Buffers.
